DIGITAL IMAGING
Our surgeons use digital cameras to capture your image and are able to use the images in real-time to show you the areas of concern and how they may be corrected.
For certain procedures, it is appropriate and indeed desirable for you to see how your appearance could be changed. You can also have input into the decisions as to the final result. It is important to realise here that not every change in your appearance that appears on the computer screen can be reproduced in the operating theatre by you r surgeon and it is therefore very important to talk to your surgeon as to what can be achieved.
Digital imaging is a very useful visualisation tool, which will help you see the possibilities of surgery. The technique is particularly useful in nasal reshaping surgery, especially if you wish to have the profile of your nose altered. Another area where digital imaging is very useful is in the alteration of chin, jaw and neck profiles Your surgeon will take the photographs against a blue background and transfer them onto a computer screen. The images are then ready to be viewed and manipulated. You can even have colour prints of the images that appeal the most to you.
